Each year, students complete a unique Valley Creek College Capstone Project that synthesizes their learnings for the year. Students will be able to integrate what God has been teaching them in a way that challenges them to grow. Students will master an understanding of a core concept, apply their learning to real-life situations, and develop practical life skills. The Capstone Projects will be centered around:
Year 1 – Identity
Year 2 – Relationship and Spiritual Formation
Year 3 – Purpose and Life as a Hope Carrier
Year 4 – Whole Person Development and Creating The Future
Components of the capstone project will include critical thinking, innovation, required readings, written and oral communication skills, creativity, and digital skills.
The Capstone Project is a required component of the VC College experience and is the only required and graded (pass/fail) assignment for the Valley Creek College Core Teachings. The Capstone Project prepares students to graduate with their Valley Creek College diploma.
Students will be assigned an advisor each year that oversees this journey and they will have the opportunity to showcase their project at the end of the year.
